A little about me.
Hi! I'm Kennedy Intihar.
I am from Buffalo, New York, and attend the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in Rochester, New York. I'm a third-year graphic design major with a minor in advertising & public relations in the Honors program at RIT. Both inside and outside classes, I am constantly learning and improving my skills as a designer, leader, and collaborator.
Beyond my education at RIT, I've gained real-world professional client experience in a real design firm setting since 2023. I am currently the creative director of Command+g Design Lab, where I oversee all design projects and design for a wide variety of clientele. I also enjoy fashion design and magazines, as I'm the current creative director of the Fabrick Fashion Magazine.
Though I am undeniably obsessed with design, I also spend time practicing electric guitar, rollerblading, collecting vinyl records, and attending live music shows. Everything that I do outside of my work fuels my creativity and inspires my ever-evolving style.

I love graphic design.
I can vividly remember the exact moment when I knew I wanted to be a graphic designer. In my elementary school art class, my art teacher was explaining how art is all around us, everywhere and every day. He told us to look around the room and notice that there was art on my classmate’s t-shirt, art on a sign that signaled a fire extinguisher, and art that made school supplies recognizable. He described this type of art as graphic design. I remember asking him, “Somebody gets to do this as a job?”. He challenged me to go home that night and look around at all the places I saw art and design– from frozen pea packaging to magazines to the wallpaper in my bathroom. From that moment forward, I saw the world from a completely new perspective and I set on my journey to become a graphic designer.
I love learning.
Design requires a resilient growth mindset. I like to be challenged by things and work through any roadblocks along the way... in a way, it makes things fun.
I strive to surround myself in an environment of learning and teaching. Not only do I love to design and create, but I also live for sharing that joy with others.
During the summer, I teach elementary and middle school students art, design, animation, and film. I focus on teaching design to middle and high school students during the school year through the Creatify BK x RIT program (that I helped to establish in 2025! Exciting!). Managing, teaching, and creating all require different kinds of connection with others, and I believe that this is my most important strength. In other words, I love to get to know people and understand their needs.
